August

23          Wood County Master Gardener meeting and pot luck dinner

Our August meeting will be held at the Rudolph Grotto.  The evening will begin with a tour of the grounds at 5:30, followed by the dinner at 6:00 and the business meeting at 6:30.  The grotto is located at 6975 Grotto Ave, Rudolph, WI.

September

27          Wood County Master Gardener meeting

Our September meeting will be held at the Marshfield Ag Research Station beginning at 7:00 pm.  Our business meeting will be followed by a presentation on “Leave No Trace” by Deb Ostrowski and Teri Lessig.

September 6 – November 29       Master Gardener Volunteer Level 1 Training

Level 1 (previously called General Training)will be beginning on Sept 6 in the Marshfield area.  Click HERE for more information.

October

25        Wood County Master Gardener meeting

Our October Meeting will be at the Wood County courthouse auditorium beginning at 7:00 pm.  The business meeting will be followed by a presentation on “Ethnobotony” by Virginia Freire.  We will also have the annual seed exchange, so start collecting and labeling those seeds!

29        Fall Gardening Seminar

The Renegade Gardener is Coming to Central Wisconsin

Don Engebretson, The Renegade Gardener,

comes to Central Wisconsin Saturday, October 29 as guest lecturer for the Universityof Wisconsin Extension Wood County Master Gardener Volunteer’s Fall Gardening Seminar. 

 Join area gardeners at the Wisconsin Rapids Community Theater  

 Gilbert and Jaylee Mead Auditorium at theCentraliaCenter.
